Looking for Leadership in Difficult Times

When it comes to making political choices in difficult times we may wonder what to do? In a democratic society we do have a responsibility to elect leaders, but the options may seem less than ideal. Paul however, suggested that people pray for those in authority. Why? So we can live peaceful, quiet, godly lives. Some political options that may be our present reality could make this impossible. There are those who would support values that would put us at odds with the state, and condemn us for obedience to God. On the other hand there are those who support the sanctity of life, and want to uphold our freedom of religion, conscience, and speech. So in difficult times we need to be wise and understand what is really important to living the Christian life. And pray for our leaders. More

What is the truth about his mission? And how will he bring us eternal life? More

The Testimony of Jesus Christ – Is it Important?

Comments Off on The Testimony of Jesus Christ – Is it Important?, Filed in Videos, by CGP.

testimony of JesusAre You a Christian?

Christians are those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus Christ. This has been God’s expectation for over 2000 years! But are we doing this? And do we really know what Jesus’ testimony is all about? In the broadest sense that testimony is Jesus’ revelation, his roadmap that helps us understand his mission and our future. It is the apostle John in the book of Revelation who makes it clear that the faithful who will overcome do so, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of his testimony. So what is that testimony? More

Armour of God – Forewarned is Forearmed

armour of GodForewarned is Forearmed

It is challenging to be a Christian in 2020! Do we have the armour of God to help us? We live in a world that, as Paul said, has been enslaved to a dark lord for millennia. John’s writings in the book of Revelation envisioned a future age, our age. There will come a time in which a great evil power will control the whole world and deceive its inhabitants. And yet, there was hope, because Christ will return and his kingdom will finally be established. And how will the evil empire be defeated? By the blood of the Lamb, Jesus the Messiah, and the sacrifice of those who had sworn allegiance to him. God will have his Christian soldiers, but their warfare is not on the battlefield. More

Core Christianity — The Trunk of the Tree

core christianity trunk of the treeFinding the Trunk of the Tree of Christianity

Can we worship God as we please? Or is there a ‘core Christianity’ that believers must embrace and profess? The multi-culturalism of our day is not unlike that of the society of Paul’s day. He wrote to warn Christians of the dangers of embracing useless philosophies. These ideas were not grounded in the truth, but in human reasoning and wisdom. “Don’t be deceived,” Paul cautioned, for the solid foundation of all wisdom and knowledge could only be found in Christ. Only Christ embodied the fullness of God, and faithfully represented the Father. He alone was given authority over every power in heaven and earth. So are we listening to him alone? More

End Time Lessons from History

End Time Lessons – Sermon on the MountChanukah lessons

When Jesus spoke to his disciples about end time lessons for believers, they were looking at the magnificent temple. Herod’s temple was an amazingly beautiful sight. A wonder of the ancient world, its layers of blue, yellow, and white marble seemed to undulate like the waves of the sea. And yet, Jesus prophesied that it would all be destroyed. Of course, the disciples wanted to know when this would happen. Perhaps they were anticipating it to transpire in their own lifetime. But Jesus skirted the issue and related a series of events that would occur before his return. And he gave a them a warning. More
