The Catholics and Protestants both lay claim to the legacy of a man they call St. Patrick. But does history bear witness to their claims? Or was the man named Patrick in a battle against the orthodoxy of his day, and a proponent of a scripturalist Christianity, and a supporter of the biblical holy days?
The Quartodeciman Controversy began with the apostle John’s fight against the Bishop of Rome as documented in scripture and history, but it did not stop there. Several centuries later the spiritual descendants of the apostles were once again contesting the authority of Rome. This is their story, the story of Patrick and the common Celtic Church, and their scripturalist tradition inherited from the apostles.
Right Side of the Future
The US Supreme court decision to support “gay” marriage divided the nation. Those who supported the ruling were saying that they were “On the right side of history” But is that where a Christian wants to be? Or should we rather be concerned about being, “on the right side of the future?” Jeff reminds us of the scriptures that teach us about God’s wisdom, truth, justice, mercy, and loyalty and His plans for the future. Will we be on God’s side, the right side of the future?

In the world but not of the world, now that may seem confusing, but it is a principle that Jesus related to his disciples, those who followed his teachings. In what ways are we to live in this world, society and culture, and yet not be a part of it? Jeff examines the scriptures to gain a better understanding of this vital concept, and explain our role as servants of God in a world that rejects Him and His values.
The scripture contrasts two ways of life: living in the flesh and living in the spirit. One leads to death and the other to eternal life. So what does it mean to “live in the spirit?”
When and how does life in the spirit begin, and what are the benefits of such a life? Jeff takes you through the scriptures to answer these vital questions.
Our world and it’s global marketing system is bowing under the weight of its debt. But the more important lesson is to understand living a debt free life, spiritually. Why is it important to the Christian to understand spiritual debt, and true freedom? Jeff brings to light life lessons from the Proverbs, the lives of David and Elisha, the Lord’s Prayer, the parables, and Paul’s writings to illuminate the way in which our indebtedness is paid, and we can live debt-free. We write our debts with our own hands, but they can be forgiven.
