Then God set out his expectations to make humans accountable for the blood they shed. Jeff Patton investigates the question of, “What is murder?” and God’s directives given to deal with those who shed innocent blood.

There is a moral logic to the universe that governs human relationships and is as powerful as any laws governing physics. So whether we are aware of these principles or not we will reap what we sow. Amy Winehouse’ death was a tragic example of ignoring the fifth commandment, sowing bad seed, and reaping the consequences. Jeff Patton looks through the prism of the scriptures to bring to light the wisdom inherent in the fifth commandment and the blessings that flow from obedience to God’s teaching.
