A SPECIAL NOTE: SCENT-FREE ZONE

Since there are people who are sensitive to petrochemicals and perfumes we are asking that all participants consider the meeting hall a “scent-free” zone.

So please use scent-free personal hygiene products: shampoos, deodorant etc. and do not wear cologne or perfume in the meeting hall.

Let’s take this little step to “love others as ourselves” and give those with sensitivities the pleasure of assembling with us without the pain of allergic responses.

Penticton: Feast of Tabernacles 2011

Join us in the Okanagan

This year the Feast of Tabernacles 2011, Oct. 12-Oct 20, will be celebrated in Canada’s “Napa Valley,” at the city of Penticton in British Columbia’s spectacular Okanagan region. Reservation information below.

Location

Located just a few hours drive north of Spokane, Washington, on a major north-south highway.
Penticton is  a 4.5 hour drive from Vancouver, B.C.
There is regularly scheduled air service to airports at Penticton or Kelowna, about 45 minutes north.

The climate tends to be warm and sunny with good weather continuing into October. The region is famous for its vineyards, fruit orchards, and water sports on two magnificent fresh water lakes, Lake Okanagan and Lake Skaha.

Our meeting hall with garden and harbour views is in one of the finest four star facilities in Penticton on the southern end of Lake Okanagan.
Conveniently located on Lakeshore Drive near Front  street, the facility has several restaurants onsite and is  close to a wide variety of fine dining alternatives.

    Golden Sands Resorts

    For families and others who would like accommodations with kitchens, we have  negotiated very reasonable rates at this suites motel about 2 blocks from the meeting hall. This motel at 1028 Lakeshore Drive has just finished being completely remodeled and offers:

  • Studio suites with kitchenette and lake view for $45 per night.
  • One bedroom suites with one queen bed, full kitchen, bath, and sleeping couch for $49 per night.
  • Two bedroom suites with one queen bed, two single beds, full kitchen, sleeping couch, and bath for $95 per night.
  • Three bedroom suites with 2 queen beds, 2 single beds, full kitchen, couch, and bath for $131.00.
  • These rooms are light, clean, and pleasant.
    The Golden Sands is located right by the Lake Okanagan beach, Penticton’s city rose garden, and the S.S. Sicamous–an old restored Canadian Pacific Railroad paddle wheeler that provided transportation up and down Lake Okanagan in the days before modern roads were built.
